2003 Bam Earthquake

     There was an earthquake in Bam, Iran. It happened on December twenty-sixth 2003. The magnitude was reported at a 6.6 on the Richter scale. The death toll was 26,271, and there was 30,000 people injured. 104 countries sent ascistance. Qanats went dry making the citizens to struggle to get fresh water. seventy percent of the builfings were destroyed leaving 75,000 people homeless. The Bam earthquake was one of the worst earthquakes to occur in Iran. It is even more devestating that it happened the day after Christmas.
